Where life matters and hope heals

Your journey to us

In the unfortunate event of you or your loved ones requiring physical rehabilitation, your specialist in the acute facility will refer you to a rehabilitation hospital. In this case, you may request a rehabilitation hospital of your choice.

When you choose CityMed Rehabilitation Hospital, our facility doctor will visit you, perform an assessment and send a motivation letter to your medical aid for authorisation.

Authorization from your medical aid can take between 24 to 48 hours. We are registered with most medical aid plans in South Africa.

Once we have received authorization from your medical aid, and your referring specialist is satisfied with your condition, you will be transferred to our hospital by ambulance.
